Going to a wedding soon? Or a baby shower, bridal shower maybe? This is a fun thing to make. Fill the basket up with all goodies for the bride, the baby or the-mom-to-be! Look for more upcycled goodies for your basket in our store.
If you have about 5-7 big cereal boxes you can cut these in strips from about 1 inch wide. Use your glue gun and glue 2 strips together length wise, so you have longer strips.

The photo on left shows a smaller version how you start the base. Fold the side strips which are not woven, up. Use left-over strips to finish your basket. Make 2 holes on opposite 2 sides for the handle. Paint the basket in which ever color you want. Maybe make it more colorful for a baby shower and for example white for a bridal shower. I didn't coat mine totally, so you can still see some of the prints from the cereal boxes. Decorate with ribbons, flowers, bells or whatever you have. Make the handle from a thin piece of fabric!
